The second type are bonus missions, these are found when doing things on the Trail and discovering a blue exclamation mark that starts off a mission...
Finally the third type are Story Scrolls. Sometimes when doing things with your own Avatar these will pop up and give you a quick multiple choice question letting you pick your own story! Each choice gives a different reward.
